The NMLS Annual Renewal Period is now in progress and will continue through Dec. 31. (Note: Dec. 31 is a Sunday. As a result, NMLS will only be available until 6 p.m. ET that day.)

Here are some helpful reminders as you complete the renewal process: 

• Your company’s NMLS record must be up to date and all state-specific requirements must be met before submitting your renewal request. Refer to the Annual Renewal page of the NMLS Resource Center for a list of state regulator renewal deadlines, renewal fees and state-specific requirements.

• These free, online renewal courses are available to help guide you through the renewal process:
  • Renewals for Mortgage Companies
  • Renewals for MSB, Debt, and Consumer Finance Companies

• Certain NMLS support options are available using an online support request. These options include account password resets/unlocks, account email changes, and license/registration renewal status. The options are available for both individual and company users. Support Request Forms can be found here.

Reminder: Starting this year, NMLS will automatically terminate unrenewed licenses that are not eligible for reinstatement after Dec. 31. State agencies set reinstatement eligibility for each license type. Reinstatement eligibility can be confirmed on the Annual Renewal Information page of the NMLS Resource Center.
