NMLS Resource Center Changes Coming Sept. 20 – Here’s What You Need to Know

We’re excited to announce we’re launching a redesigned NMLS Resource Center on Sept. 20 to make it easier and faster to find what you need!

The current state and federal NMLS Resource Centers will be retired, and the redesigned NMLS Resource Center will be launched along with the NMLS Modernization Phase 2 release on Sept. 20. This redesigned site will serve both state and federal industry users and is part of a broader effort to modernize and streamline how we deliver NMLS support resources.

What to Expect
Starting Sept. 20, anyone attempting to access the current resource centers and any bookmarked links will be redirected to the homepage of the new site. All essential NMLS content will be available, though some may appear in new formats or locations. Older or non-essential materials will be retired as part of this transition.

We recognize this is a significant change and appreciate your patience as we work to improve your experience. The site will continue to evolve based on user feedback, and we will share more updates as we get closer to launch.

Thank you for your continued support as we take this important step toward a more modern and usable NMLS Resource Center.

What’s Changing
Users have consistently told us the current NMLS Resource Center is difficult to navigate and outdated. The new NMLS Resource Center represents an initial step toward addressing those concerns.

  • Simplified navigation: Content organized based on user type and common tasks.
  • Improved searchability: Easy access to accurate, up-to-date information.
  • Fewer issues: We’re fixing broken links, removing outdated content, and eliminating duplication.
  • More self-help options: Better navigation means that you can get answers on your own more easily.
  • Updated content: Content focused on key licensing, registration, and compliance needs.
  • Designed with users in mind: We’ve collaborated with users to redesign the structure and are conducting ongoing testing to ensure the new NMLS Resource Center meets your needs. Here is an example of how content on the new Resource Center will appear.
